Water drops macro

One morning I woke up and noticed it rained the previous night as then open garage is soaked wet. I grabbed my camera and mounted the Tamron SP AF 90mm f/2.8 Di LD 1:1 Macro lens on it and I started searching for water droplets from a plant hanging by the wall.

I was pleased to see a few drops still clinging to the leaves. I never had any subject for this lens other than my audio stuff and this got me excited.

I wanted to focus on the reflections from the water drops so I had to bring my aperture really small from f/11 to f/22. The first row of the photos below were shot at f/18, and the next row at f/22.

It was a challenge taking these shots hand held and sitting on a chair. Sometimes when I get the focus, the wind will blow and I'll lose it all again. Nevertheless, I felt like I was a small kid getting the hands wet on a new toy.
